Glasscoat by Simoniz – First State Chevy
Here at First State Chevrolet we sell products that we truly believe in and use ourselves. Today I want to talk a little bit about Glasscoat made by Simoniz USA. When you purchase a new car it is usually the 2nd largest investment you’ll ever make aside from the purchase of your home. It only makes sense to protect that investment with a quality product like Simoniz. When you purchase a new vehicle and leave the dealership, the only thing on that vehicle that is not under warranty is your paint. Yes defects are covered, but anything from hard water, bird droppings, and tree sap can leave you with a blemished vehicle and large bill to cover. With Simoniz Glasscoat applied to that car, it covers the outside with a glass type resin protecting your paint from the elements. Wouldn’t it be nice to never have to wax your car again? With Glasscoat applied, all you have to do is wash and shammy it off. If any blemish were to appear from acid rain, tree sap, bird droppings, all road de-icing materials, spray paint, insects, hard water spots, or UV damage within 7 years of the manufacture date it is covered under warranty. If you are unable to clean the blemish off with soap and water, bring it to the dealer you purchased from to have it taken care of at no cost to you. Take a look at this product failure demonstration…
Not only does Simoniz protect the exterior of your vehicle. It will also cover the interior. It uses DuPont’s Teflon surface protector. It covers all consumable foods, chewing gum, make-up, crayons, ink, vomit, blood, urine stains, pet waste, dye transfer from clothing.
The product was even featured on the History Channel’s show ‘Modern Marvels’ see below…
Now if your car has been Simonized it doesn’t mean you don’t have to wash, shammy, and clean it. In order to keep its warranty coverage you need to complete this maintenance as normal. Only when you are unable to remedy any blemishes yourself will Simoniz cover you to have them fixed at the dealer.

How To Used GM’s Inflator Kit on a 2012 Camaro 2SS – First State Chevy
With fuel economy a top concern for many car buyers, GM works hard to minimize the weight of their vehicles which in turn helps improve gas mileage. One way they are doing that is by excluding the spare tire and including a 5 year / 100,000mile roadside assistance and a tire inflator kit. It might concern some, but we think is pretty ingenius. This inflator kit will get you back on you way much quicker than a spare unless of course you have a complete blow out, thats when the roadside assistance comes tot he rescue. Today, we are going to take a look at how to use the inflator kit included on many new 2012 cars. Here we demostrate on a new 2012 Chevy Camaro 2SS. Lets take a look….

Do You Like Custom Lifted Trucks? Check This One Out
Here at 1st State Chevrolet, we’re situated in the center of the southern most county of Delaware. Here in Georgetown, chickens out number people and trucks and tractors rule the road. Many consider us backwoods, but most people spend Sunday afternoon driving their 4WD vehicles on the beach after leaving church. Farmers are also surfers, many boys and girls are members of Future Farmers of America and one thing we all mostly agree on is big lifted trucks! We now have a 2012 Silverado customized by Southern Comfort called the Black Widow Edition. The truck started as a Black Silverado Crew Cab Z71 and was transformed into this…
Lets start from the ground up and show what all went into this $10,000 customization. For starters they bolted on a 6″ Fabtech suspension lift.
Then they use that extra clearance to throw on these 35″ X 12.50 X 20 Mickey Thompson ATZ off-road tires mounted on 20″ Matte Black wheels. Notice the red painted calipers too…
To keep those tires legal, they threw in four fender flares, take that DMV inspectors. Around back, you’ll see tinted LED tail lights, a blacked out Chevy Bowtie, dual exhaust and custom Black Widow and Southern Comfort badging on the tailgate and back window.
Keeping with the theme, you’ll find more badging on the doors and around front.
On the front of the truck they bolted on a 4″ bull bar, billet grille, HID headlamps, and hood scoop.
Inside, the factory leather interior was badged with Black Widow embroidered headrest.
To add to the flare, they finished it off with red faced gauges and black trim accents.
This truck is a true off road machine and an eye catcher. Everyone in Sussex County appreciates it when they pass by. Check out a walk around video and see a little more.
