So there is a ton of hype surrounding Chevy’s new Cruze. It debuted in 2010 and it’s sales have been off the charts, leading its compact class for much of 2011. So what makes the Chevy Cruze such a hot seller at 1st State Chevy? For most of our customers the first thing that grabs their attention is the EPA estimated 42mpg’s on the highway. That is all too important with gas prices pushing farther and farther towards $4.00 a gallon. So class leading fuel efficiency is a good start I’d say. Many wonder if a small fuel efficient 4cyl has the muscle to jump out in front of traffic if needed? I ask, have you driven one yet? It has plenty of pep. With a gentle shove of the accelerator the 138hp 1.4L Turbo 4cyl and 6-speed transmission go to work easily carrying you to 60mph in just 7.9 seconds. So I think I’ve made the case that the Cruze has fuel efficiency and power. What else make this little go getter appealing? How about interior like this!
Couple that with the it’s bluetooth, keyless access, push-button start, USB port, Xm radio, rear park assist, navigation and remote link technology you have the world at your fingertips. I mean how cool is being able to start your car from your smart phone? Personally speaking I thought it was the coolest thing I had seen since flat screen tvs. Not only does the Chevy Cruze have an attractive interior, it’s “sculpted” outward appearance is just as appealing. Its sharp lines, aggressive stance and distinctive front end give it a sexy, sophisticated presence. Add on a RS package and it looks as if it is moving 60mph at a stand still.
Now I know most fathers are hesitant to let their little princess hit the crazy highway at 16 years old in a compact car. So let’s go ahead and put their minds at ease. The Cruze has a class leading 10 airbags. That’s 4 more than all of its competitors. It rubber’s pressure is monitored and available to view in the driver information center. If it gets low the car will give you a kind warning to inflate. Here at 1st State Chevy we even take an extra step by putting Nitrofill in the tires of all our new vehicles. That will give you longer tire life, less maintenance, up to 5% better gas mileage, and Nitrofill guarantees it with a warranty and roadside assistance. Pair those tires with 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, and stabilitrak you can be sure your Cruze will stay on the road and brake quickly if needed. Other safety features include daytime running lamps standard, child security locks, theft deterrent system, and Onstar. The 2011 Cruze was an IIHS Top Safety Pick and received a 5-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). With that said, you can let your kids leave the house knowing they are in good hands.
